Arabic Woman Rammed Her Car Into Miami International Airport Claiming To Have A Bomb

An Arabic woman crashed her car into Miami International Airport and shouted that she had a bomb on Thursday afternoon. Instead of driving her car through the airport as planned, Julissa Magdalena Maradiaga-Iscoa ran into a Florida police car and screamed at the officers in English.

Kulissa Magdalena Maradiaga-Iscoa was immediately arrested at gunpoint and a bomb sniffing canine unit was deployed. However, the dog found no explosives inside the vehicle. The Miami-Dade Police Department turned the case over to the FBI. The federal investigators have stated that the Arabic woman does not have any known ties to terrorist organizations. She is slated to appear in federal court later today.

“At this time there appears to be no nexus to terrorism,” FBI agent Michael Leverock said in a statement about the Miami International Airport car crash and bomb threat.

Julissa Magdalena Maradiaga-Iscoa, 33, is from Honduras. She was driving a silver Toyota when she “made a right turn and drove through the inner loop making an intentional attempt to breach airport security by attempting to drive her vehicle through the airport entrance,” according to Miami-Dade Police Detective Alvaro Zabaleta.

The Miami International Airport published a tweet Thursday, stating that the three lanes on the upper deck had been closed. The area was opened again during the evening hours.
