‘Doctor Who’ Season 9 Release Date Hint And Spoilers

Information about Doctor Who season nine is something many people are looking for. People want to know when the new season will start and what is in store for the characters. So far, the producers have been close-lipped about most of the information, except for the return of an exciting character.

Radio Times confirmed last month that Missy would return for the new season of Doctor Who. Despite seemingly being killed off at the end of the last season, Michelle Gomez confirmed that she was returning and would be in the first two episodes, which serve as a two-part premiere.

During the video where she announced her return, fans spotted a band around her wrist. That band looks very similar to the time-traveling wristband that Captain Jack Harness likes to wear, suggesting that may be how she escaped death. Fans now want to know just how she got hold of the device, though. Doctor Who fans will remember that the season eight finale saw her vaporized by cybermen.

The release date for season nine has not yet been confirmed, but most experts put it towards the end of 2015. That is when the network usually airs the start of the new season.

The Latin Times shared a few details of the spoilers already shared for the upcoming episodes of Doctor Who. Peter Capaldi and Jenna Coleman are definitely back, and the titles for the first two episodes will be The Magician’s Apprentice and The Witch’s Familiar. Jemma Redgrave also confirmed that she would return for the premiere.

Steven Moffat likes to surprise his fans, which is why very little has been shared. He did say that the season finale will have a major cliffhanger, which has already been worked out.

“I’ve figured out the cliffhanger to the penultimate episode of series 9. And it’s a whopper. Ohh, I don’t think you’ll see this coming!”

There have been many photos shared from the set of Doctor Who, and some of those photos look to have been taken outside of Britain. There was recent confirmation of the show being filmed in Spain. Some spoilers suggest that the location will be used for bringing back Gomez as The Master—or Missy as she now prefers to be known.

Fans eagerly await the return of The Doctor, but want to know more. Moffat is spending his time keeping most of the spoilers at bay, letting fans speculate and guess from the bits of information they are allowed to know. Season nine is expected to be exciting, with a lot of twists and turns. Doctor Who may not have an official return date yet, but the rumor is that it will be at the end of this year.
