BioWare Plans To Hold More ‘Dragon Age: Inquisition’ Beta Tests For Upcoming Content, Sign-Ups Now Open

After allowing fans to help beta test the next update for Dragon Age: Inquisition, BioWare has decided to extend the program so that additional new content coming to the popular role-playing game can also be tested ahead of release.

The developer announced to fans from their official Twitter account that the results of the current beta event for Patch 5 have been so positive that they will definitely hold a similar beta test for future Dragon Age: Inquisition updates that may follow.

In fact, even though Patch 5 has not yet even released, BioWare confirmed that they are getting ready to begin a second Dragon Age: Inquisition beta to test all Patch 6 changes. After praising the progress afforded by the Patch 5 beta, the development team announced that PC gamers can now sign up for future Dragon Age: Inquisition beta events from the Dragon Age Keep web-based app in order to test additional content.

“Due to the success of our patch 5 beta program, we decided to continue it for patch 6.”

BioWare decided to host beta tests for upcoming Dragon Age: Inquisition updates after they announced that Patch 5 will introduce several new gameplay features, including increased personal storage and the addition of more character customization options throughout the game. The beta program is intended to give the team a chance to launch the next Dragon Age: Inquisition update with as few bugs as possible.

Not only will releasing new content without issues make the Dragon Age: Inquisition community happy, but it also saves BioWare money by potentially avoiding the costly fees associated with having to deploy additional bug patches that could be necessary if the patch were released untested, as recently reported by the Inquisitr.

While BioWare is now allowing Dragon Age: Inquisition users to sign up to take part in the Patch 6 beta, the developer has not yet released any details about what the patch will actually change. It is also unknown if the studio has any plans to hold a beta program to help test the title’s upcoming first DLC release, which is now in development.

All beta events for Dragon Age: Inquisition are only open to PC players. However, the patch content will later become available on consoles once the updates are officially launched.
