Elaine’s boss on Mr. Pitt has passed away. Ian Abercrombie, who cut candy bars with a knife and fork on Seinfeld, passed away earlier this week at the age of 77.
Abercrombie was most famous for his role as Mr. Pitt on Seinfeld but the actor stepped into plenty of roles during his 45-year career.
Abercrombie started his career in the 1960s and has appeared on shows like Columbo, The Quest, The Six Million Dollar Man, Battlestar Galactica, Happy Days, Threes Company, Who’s The Boss?, Murder She Wrote, Alf, Murphy Brown, Seinfeld, and most recently , Star Wars: The Clone Wars, and Wizards of Waverly Place.
He also had parts in movies like Rango, The Lost World: Jurrasic Park , and Army of Darkness.
But to many, Ian Abercrombie will always be remembered as Mr. Pitt from Seinfeld.
