The Powerball did not have a winner this past Saturday, and that meant it was time for the jackpot to go up again. While it may not be at the over $500 million amount that it was a couple of weeks ago, it’s still up to $50 million — and something that anyone would be happy to win. Here are the winning numbers for February 18: 1, 9, 29, 32, 49 with a Powerball of 22. Power Play was at 2X.
Wednesday night’s Powerball drawing was for a jackpot of $50 million, and it included a cash payout value of $33.4 million if you took a lump sum payment.
This past Saturday, the drawing took place and not a single person matched all five numbers and the Powerball. There was one Match 5 winner with Power Play who won $2 million, and that person was from Florida. Another Match 5 winner, without Power Play, was from California and won $1 million.
Winning the Powerball can indeed change lives, and that was what happened to a single mother of four from North Carolina. She had to quit both of her jobs to take care of her children, and ended up winning $188 million.

Some people don’t believe that it is worth it to play the Powerball when the jackpot is “as low” as $50 million, but who couldn’t use an extra few dozen million? On the other hand, there are some people that don’t change when winning a lot of money.

Some think that the Powerball is the only lottery out there, but there are plenty of ways to have financial windfalls come your way.
On the evening of February 17, there was the Mega Millions drawing and no-one ended up matching the numbers, so the next jackpot is up to $100 million, per MLive. There was one ticket sold that matched five numbers for $1 million, and it was sold in Texas.
Now, it’s on to tonight’s Powerball drawing and the chance to win $50 million paid out over the course of the next few decades or a lump sum of $33.4 million. Either way of winning would change the life of someone forever, and it very well could be you — so check your numbers carefully.
