Johnny Depp’s long-term relationship with Vanessa Paradis seems at breaking point. As reported by People Magazine, they are “largely living separate lives.” The couple have been together for 14 years and have two kids, Lily-Rose, 12, and Jack, 9. Examples of their separate lives include living in different houses, in November staying at separate hotels for the premier of The Rum Diary and Johnny Depp going alone to the Cannes Film Festival to promote Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. Hollywood Life also mention that on filming On Stranger Tides in 2010, Johnny Depp would “chat with girls and was very friendly and flirty.”
A source also commented to Radar Online, saying:
“Johnny isn’t handling anything well right now. People around him are worried about how Johnny is doing because he and Vanessa seem so fractured right now. Their relationship is heading toward the end. Johnny has started reaching out to lawyers, probably to quietly discuss how to get out of the relationship. They’re not married but they’ve been together for years and have kids together so it isn’t as easy as just breaking up. Johnny is so talented at acting, but he doesn’t seem able to hide how badly things are going right now.”
Johnny Depp recently attended the Golden Globes ceremony alone, where he shared banter with fellow host Ricky Gervais while presenting the Best Movie award, sparking off talk of the couple’s break-up. He’s also just gone off to shoot The Lone Range in Mexico, leaving Vanessa Paradis with the kids.
