Bruce Jenner Hires Lawyer, Black Box To Be Examined
Bruce Jenner is hiring a lawyer. TMZ reported that the former Olympian has “lawyered up” in the wake of Saturday’s fatal crash on the Pacific Coast Highway. This investigation will make its way to the L.A. County District Attorney’s office, according to the report.
Jenner was seen leaving the West Hollywood law offices of Blair Berk. TMZ says that Berk is a top criminal defense lawyer who has helped a large number of celebrities. It appears that Jenner will become his next client.

TMZ also learned that once the L.A. County Sherriff’s Dept. finishes the investigation of the Bruce Jenner car crash, they will send the case to the L.A. County D.A. for further review. Law enforcement told the source that it’s protocol to roll a case over to prosecutors when a driver breaks the law and one of the drivers dies.
Law enforcement told TMZ that Bruce was not texting and driving before the fatal car crash. Authorities do think Bruce was driving too closely, which is a traffic violation in the state of California. This kind of traffic violation could result in the death of another driver, which are also grounds for misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter. That could be the reason why Bruce wanted to hire the top lawyer in all of Hollywood.

Jenner’s vehicle also has the auto version of an airplane’s black box, according to Page Six. Investigators are hoping that this will provide key evidence in recreating the fatal crash, according to sources. Jenner drove a Cadillac Escalade that includes a device that would have recorded the speed, braking, and accelerator data within five seconds before the accident.
Bruce’s fate will be determined by the metal box inside the twisted metal that was left on the Pacific Coast Highway, according to another TMZ report. The other three vehicles in the fatal crash also had similar boxes with the same data. TMZ also learned that accident reconstruction experts would use the data from all four vehicles to determine the distance and speed among each of them. This could help authorities determine if Bruce was driving too closely behind the Lexus.

The Lexus was driven by 69-year-old widow Kim Howe. It spun into the opposite lane of the Pacific Coast Highway traffic, where a Hummer plowed into the vehicle and killed the woman instantly. Howe stopped because of a Prius slowed in front of her.
Bruce Jenner is also reportedly putting his sex change on delay in light of the crash. According to a recent report on the Inquisitr, the aftermath of the crash has become Bruce’s top priority. In addition, filming of Keeping Up With the Kardashians has been temporarily put on hold as the network finds out how to deal with Bruce Jenner’s car crash.
