Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald’s wedding will be a big focus of the upcoming season of 19 Kids and Counting, and fans will also get a glimpse of their life as newlyweds. Unfortunately, things won’t be all pickles and hairspray for the new pair — they’ll discover that their new home has a mold problem.
The Duggar Family Blog recently shared a few spoilers about Season 9 of 19 Kids and Counting, which will premiere February 19 at 9 p.m. ET on TLC. Viewers will get to see Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald’s journey to the altar, which begins with the couple “pinching pennies” to save up for their wedding. Jessa and Ben decided that they wanted to have plenty of money to spend on an exotic honeymoon, so they did all that they could to keep the cost of their wedding down. As the Inquisitr previously reported, Duggar and Seewald chose to head to Paris for a romantic honeymoon, and the TLC cameras followed them to The City of Light.
According to OK! Magazine, Ben and Jessa failed to win the post-wedding Jim Bob lottery like Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard did — Jill got to move into a two-story, four-bedroom, $1.5 million mini-mansion that the Duggar patriarch owns. Poor Jessa was had to settle for Josh Duggar’s old “tiny tract home” with two bedrooms and one bathroom. Apparently, it also had a mold problem.
“When the future Seewalds tour their soon-to-be home, a little mold may turn into a big problem,” one 19 Kids and Counting spoiler read.
Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald might eventually move out of the moldy house. Jessa recently shared the Instagram photo below, and a few 19 Kids and Counting fans pointed out that the layout of the kitchen doesn’t match that of Josh Duggar’s old house.
Perhaps Jessa and Ben got to move into a different Duggar-owned property because of the mold problem, or maybe Jim Bob actually started feeling guilty for giving Jessa a shack that was so much smaller and shoddier than Jill Duggar’s fancy mini-mansion.
Jessa Duggar definitely seems to be excited about reliving her journey to the altar during this season of 19 Kids and Counting— her Instagram page is proof that she can’t stop thinking about her wedding. Jessa recently shared a wedding snapshot of the massive Duggar clan posing for an awkward family photo.
“Lol! We always have to do at least one goofy shot,” she captioned the photo below.
As you can see, a few Duggars didn’t enjoy watching Jessa and Ben share one of their first kisses.
