WWE Divas: Triple H Takes Hypocritical Stance On Chyna’s Playboy Past In ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin Podcast

In a recent interview, Triple H was asked directly by “Stone Cold” Steve Austin if former WWE Diva Chyna deserved to be in the WWE Hall Of Fame. While Triple H admits she “absolutely” deserves to be in the WWE Hall Of Fame, he apparently admitted the WWE management is considering Chyna’s Playboy past as a reason to not allow her in. But isn’t this a hypocritical stance, considering the past of the company and current WWE Hall Of Fame wrestlers?

In a related report by the Inquisitr, Chyna has already responded to Triple H on Twitter about his recent comments.

When “Stone Cold” Steve Austin and Triple H discussed the question of Chyna’s WWE Hall Of Fame induction, it was claimed this was like discussing a double-sided sword.

“It’s not just as easy as, ‘Should this person go into the Hall of Fame?’ She completely, one hundred percent transcended the business. Changed the business. Paradigm shifter of the business. Did what no woman ever did before, and was awesome at it, and a phenomenal talent. All the other stuff that happened happened — and I don’t need to get into any of the other stuff — but there’s no beef on this side with anything, and I mean that one hundred percent.”

Triple H admits multiple times that Chyna should find her way into the WWE Hall Of Fame, but claims it’s a business decision based upon her past.

“It’s a bit difficult, though, and this is the flipside of the coin — and this is the side nobody looks at — I’ve got an eight-year-old kid, and my eight-year-old kid sees Hall of Fame, and my eight-year-old kid goes on the Internet to look at Chyna. What comes up? And I’m not criticizing anybody. I’m not criticizing lifestyle choices. Everybody has their reasons. I don’t know what they were. I don’t care to know. It’s not a morality thing or anything else. It is just the fact of what it is. That’s a difficult choice.”

Chyna, whose real name is Joan Marie Laurer, did in fact star in multiple adult videos including One Night in China, which also featured the wrestler X-Pac (Sean Waltman). Everyone assumes Triple H is referring to Chyna’s porn past, but in 20015 she was also arrested for allegedly beating Waltman. Chyna also battled drug addiction and appeared on Celebrity Rehab.

Why is this stance by Triple H hypocritical? First off, go search for the phrase “Triple H and Katie Vick.” It involves raping the dead body of Kane’s girlfriend, who died from drunk driving. Chyna has nothing that compares. Even “Stone Cold” Steve Austin has been accused of domestic violence in the past, but only Triple H did necrophilia, whether it be part of a WWE script or not.

Besides Chyna’s history, it’s possible Triple H may be making this personal. Chyna recently called out Stephanie McMahon for the WWE domestic violence policy.

Keep in mind the failed dating relationship between Triple H and Chyna is the reason she departed from the WWE in the first place. According to Wrestling Inc, Chyna claims it was all over when she discovered Triple H cheated on her with Stephanie McMahon.

“If you didn’t know, Triple H and I were engaged during the time of the Mcmahon/Helmsley Takeover on Raw. About six months into that storyline, Paul would come home and start arguments with me for no reason and leave out for a few days. After he left one day, he left the Haliburton brief case that I gave him in the house.”

“Now, I’m not one to be snooping, but something just didn’t feel right. I opened it up and found a love letter that Stephanie wrote to him a year earlier saying that she was in love with him. I called Vince up and told him what I found out. He just replied that the jig was up. The next day I went to the Raw show where there was a bunch of wrestlers talking as I walked in the backstage. They started parting the way and turning their backs to me. Not even asking why I was crying. The same wrestlers that I had trained and performed with day in and day out.”

“I was lead into Vince’s office where he was there with Stephanie. She basically said that Paul was his and I just had to deal with it. I said that she was lucky her father was there or I would have ripped her face off. Vince said to go home and take some time off and then we will deal with it. I was near the end of my contract, so basically, he never resigned me.”

That’s not the only reason Triple H is being hypocritical. While the WWE’s PG era may be the dominant theme now, the WWE Attitude Era was in full swing at the time of Chyna’s Playboy appearances. The Attitude Era featured many sexually aggressive plots, and Chyna’s nude modeling was even officially worked into the storyline by WWE Creative.

Chyna is also not the only one of the WWE Divas to appear in Playboy and adult videos with the approval of the WWE. Considering that WWE management essentially sanctioned what Chyna was doing at the time, how can Triple H turn around now and wag his finger in the WWE Diva’s face?
