One Direction: The Final Countdown To ‘On The Road Again’ Tour
One Direction fans, the wait is almost over. One Direction’s latest tour – “On The Road Again” – kicks off in Sydney, Australia, in just a few days’ time. At last, all the speculation is almost over and the 80-date tour, spanning every continent on the globe, is about to start. As reported in Inquisitr last week, One Direction’s Niall Horan is already in Australia, where he watched Brit Andy Murray in the last three rounds of the Aussie Open tennis, tournament.
The Mail reports today that Liam Payne, usually described as the most sensible of the One Direction boys, has also arrived in Australia. A very tired looking Liam flew in on Monday and made his way quickly and quietly through Sydney airport. The Mail expressed the view that Liam should be looking refreshed as a result of One Direction having had a break since the end of the last tour in October 2014. Liam was reported to have been working some late night sessions in the studio with rapper Juicy J while he was in Los Angeles, but it is much more likely that the One Direction star was simply suffering from jet lag.
Liam has certainly kept a low profile during his break, although he did splash out on new homes for himself and his parents. It is reported that Liam even missed his One Direction pal Harry Styles’ birthday bash in L.A. over the weekend. This is likely so that the boys could stagger their flights to Australia. It is thought that One Direction all travel separately to avoid the security concerns that all five of them traveling together would bring.
Liam Tomlinson and Harry Styles were both in L.A., where they celebrated Harry’s twenty-first birthday on Sunday in a stylish bash that, according to Yahoo! Celebrity, set the star back over £200,000. The Mirror report that Harry spent his birthday with his new girlfriend, Victoria’s Secret model Nadine Leopold. It was also reported that Harry made a Face-time call to his mum when he blew out his candles on Sunday. Harry and Louis’ travel plans are unknown at present, but it seems likely that they will want to be in Australia for long enough to get over the jet lag before the tour kicks off on Saturday.
The final member of One Direction, Zayn Malik, has remained in the UK while his pals have been jet-setting. Zayn has taken the time to hang out with his fiance, Little Mix star Perrie Edwards, and to grab some studio time with his pal Naughty Boy. There is no news yet on Zayn’s travel plans, but given the 24-hour flying time from the UK to Australia, it seems likely that Zayn is already on his way.
With just three days to go until the tour starts watch out for social media meltdown when the One Direction boys are reunited “down under.”
