‘Real Housewives Of New Jersey’ Star Melissa Gorga Reportedly Fears She’ll Be Fired Ahead Of Season Seven

The Real Housewives of New Jersey star Melissa Gorga is reportedly afraid she’ll be fired by Bravo ahead of the upcoming seventh season. According to a new report, Gorga is aware of the reported changes coming to the franchise, and living in fear that she may be one of those changes.

“Melissa’s story line has always depended on Teresa, and now that she’s in prison she’s not sure what will happen to her,” a source close to production told Radar Online on February 2. “The fights between their two families have been major plot lines on the show, but without Teresa what is Melissa going to do?”

“Melissa is definitely concerned that she is on the chopping block. She doesn’t want to be irrelevant and is not sure what will happen to her. She loves being a part of the show and is devastated for Teresa, Joe and the girls. But she feels like producers might only want her if Teresa is there.”

As the Inquisitr previously reported, Melissa Gorga’s role on The Real Housewives of New Jersey has been in jeopardy for weeks. However, last month, reports claimed the mother of three would be downgraded — not fired — and that Dina Manzo would be fired all together.

“Dina Manzo is OUT,” All About The Teareported on January 23. “Evidently, clinging to a felon and posing as a boring zen princess has been a bust. Dina has also moved to NYC, and has supposedly reached out to Andy Cohen, floating the idea of a ‘Housewives’ locale switchoo, obviously hoping to snag a ‘Real Housewives of New York’ spot.”

“[Melissa Gorga] is headed for a part-time demotion.”

There were also rumors of Melissa Gorga being downgraded in October of last year because of her reported lack of a good story line on The Real Housewives of New Jersey. However, at the time, a source revealed to Rumorfix‘s Real Mr. Housewife that the reports were untrue.

“Melissa has already been informed that Bravo is interested in having her back for Season 7 and they are interested in having her back as a full time housewife,” a source close to production told the site. “With things up in the air as far as Teresa, Bravo likely will not be making many changes to the cast, so you can definitely count on Melissa to be back.”

The Real Housewives of New Jersey‘s Melissa Gorga recently returned to New Jersey after a family vacation took her, Joe, and the kids to St. Thomas.
