Pedophile Arrested After Being Confronted By Vigilante Group [Video]
A vigilante group, calling themselves the Pedophile Hunters, caught a convicted sex fiend just prior to meeting up with a 14-year-old girl.
Roger Lee, the sex offender, traveled 300 miles to meet up with the 14-year-old girl to allegedly have sex with her. He stated, in a chat with the vigilante group posing as the 14-year-old girl, that he had met with a 12-year-old girl in the past and had gotten her pregnant. In the process of chatting with the undercover vigilantes, he sent them nude pictures of himself and expressed his anticipation of the meeting.
Roger Lee lives in Rushall, Pewsey, and traveled nearly 310 miles to Newcastle to meet with what he thought was a 14-year-old girl. According to the Mirror, Lee met the supposed girl on the website Badoo, where he spent time grooming her for the sexual encounter. However, he was not aware that the young girl he was chatting with was actually a pair of pedophile vigilantes from the group Dark Justice. He scheduled a time and place to meet, stating that he could not get there “fast enough.”
Lee was unaware that he would be met at the rendezvous location by a team from Dark Justice, equipped with video cameras and enough evidence to put him behind bars for his horrendous plan. When confronted, the team at Dark Justice questioned his motives and attempted to get a confession from him. It took Lee a bit, but he finally realized what was happening and fled the scene. The entire confrontation was captured on video and shared with the authorities and the world wide web.
According to Metro, Lee was previously convicted for having sex with a 12-year-old girl, which he bragged about to the undercover members of Dark Justice online. When he realized that he was caught attempting to do the same again, Lee threatened to kill himself in lieu of being caught. However, authorities got to him before he could commit the act.
Judge Morris, who oversaw the case, felt that Lee is a danger to children and should be sentenced to jail time.
“You were caught by internet vigilantes, which is the best way of describing them, who pretended to be a female and you entered into a conversation with them on the internet. It soon became apparent what they did was pretend the female was 14. You went for it. I am firmly of the view you are a dangerous individual to young children.”
Lee was sentenced to two years and four months in prison.
