Is Robert Pattinson going broke? The former Twilight star is allegedly burning through the money he made from the mega-popular franchise and is now starting to hurt in the financial department, according to a new report from OK! Magazine .
Why would Pattinson, a huge movie star, being having any sort of money problems? Well, it looks like Rob’s attempt to distance himself from his big screen alter ego, Edward Cullen, may have backfired. RPattz, who has millions of adoring fans, has allegedly been taking small indie roles as a way to detach himself from Twilight , show off his acting chops, and not be in mainstream Hollywood quite as much.
However, in doing small budgeted films comes a big problem: small pay outs for the actors. His spending is really making for some problems in his bank account.
“Rob’s spending habits are the same now as they were when he was earning the big bucks, so there’s a real shortfall.”
Now, it seems that Robert Pattinson is desperate to land a big leading role but may have lost some of his luster with casting directors after 2012’s Cosmopolis and last years The Rover were box office disasters.
One thing that Rob does have going for him is the fact that he’s worked with some big name leading ladies, who would hopefully be willingly to work with him again and/or put in a good word for the actor. Reese Witherspoon, Julianne Moore, Christina Ricci, Uma Thurman, and maybe even ex-girlfriend Kristen Stewart would endorse him for a big blockbuster hit.
Pattinson also has an endorsement deal with Dior to help fill his wallet, but his contract with the company ends soon, which could leave him in even more financial trouble.
“He’s not one who would typically sign on as the face of a cologne brand, because he’s really a simple guy and not into high-end fashion. But he knows it’s financially sound and, frankly, he needs the money.”
The magazine claims that Rob has blown through his $100 million fortune and, without a new gig, he’ll be in serious trouble. As previously reported by the Inquisitr , Rob’s been dating singer FKA Twigs, and if he is hurting for money, he could possibly be getting help from her.
However, Robert Pattinson fans shouldn’t worry just yet. Gossip Cop claims that RPattz’s fortune is fine and that the rumor is a “ total lie. ”
