Liam Payne’s Cousin, Ross Harris, Heads To ‘The Voice UK’

Liam Payne isn’t the only member of the family with talent. The One Direction singer’s cousin is reportedly headed to The Voice.

Since Payne got his start on a televised singing competition, it’s not surprising that Liam’s relative, Ross Harris, is attempting to find success down the same avenue. According to J-14, Harris will bring his musical chops to the UK version of The Voice. During his appearance on the program, Payne’s cousin will belt out the Usher tune “Good Kisser.”

However, Harris isn’t just a singer — Payne’s cousin is also a seasoned drummer. Perez Hilton points out that Ross has played drums for a number of bands, including Union J and The Saturdays. In other words, his entire career isn’t hinged on this Voice audition. If the judges tell him to take a hike, he’s got other tricks up his musical sleeve.

Unfortunately for those who are pulling for Liam Payne’s cousin, it’s still unclear if the guy gets any love from the judges. Anxious fans who want to see how Harris’ appearance on The Voice UK pans out will have to wait until the January 31 episode for answers. Try not to chew your nails down to the quick while you’re waiting.

Although Payne’s relative is attempting to further his career by auditioning on the aforementioned competition, Entertainmentwise points out that not everyone from One Direction is presently a fan of the program. Apparently, Louis Tomlinson has a few issues with the show since The Voice had a few unfriendly things to say about The X Factor, which helped propel Payne, Tomlinson, Styles, Malik, and Horan into the stratosphere.

In fact, Tomlinson shared his thoughts about The Voice on Twitter.

Regardless of Louis’ opinion of the program, it would appear that One Direction fans are more than happy to support Liam Payne’s cousin.
