Zooey Deschanel has a lot of good news to share with friends, family, and fans as of late! Only a week since announcing her pregnancy, the actress is now engaged to producer Jacob Pechenik!
According to E! News , a source close to the couple confirms that Pechenik popped the question to Zooey Deschanel while celebrating her birthday on Catalina Island on January 17. Sources for US Weekly have also confirmed that the New Girl star accepted Pechenik’s proposal, meaning that the two are officially engaged!
Deschanel and Pechenik reportedly first started seeing one another in August 2014, after the actress and singer split from Jamie Linden, whom she had been dating for about two years. According to US Weekly , the couple made their red carpet debut together at the 2014 Emmys.
According to a previous report by the Inquisitr , Zooey Deschanel confirmed last week that she was pregnant with her first child with Pechenik, and stated that she was beyond excited to start this new chapter in her life.
“Jacob and I are over the moon. We are so excited to meet our little one,” Deschanel told People Magazine .
