Oklahoma Mother Jaymie Adams Missing, Husband Claims She Was Craigslist Prostitute

A missing Oklahoma mother of three has not been seen nor heard from since early December, and her husband revised his story to tell police that his wife, Jaymie Adams, had been secretly meeting clients for sex after arranging hookups on Craigslist.

Justin Adams first made the missing persons report about Jaymie on December 10th, explaining to police that he’d located his wife’s empty van in a McDonald’s parking lot at 5AM, and that the restaurant owner had reported sighting Jaymie at around 3AM paying for food. But surveillance video did not corroborate Adams’ account, and police say the owner did not recall speaking to Jaymie. Initially, Justin Adams told police that he did not know who his wife was meeting, but he later amended his report.

On December 11th, court documents reveal, Adams told police that his wife Jaymie- who was two months pregnant at the time of her disappearance- had been meeting clients from Craigslist under the auspices of being a massage therapist, but had also been exchanging sex for money during those meetups. Adams also revealed that the pair had been “swinging” with other couples they met via the online bulletin board.

A lawyer for Adams, Irven Box, said that Adams’ initial deception is no reason to believe he was involved with his wife’s disappearance:

“There’s nothing unreasonable about him not disclosing that she was out prostituting herself. He didn’t want police to know that, so he was deceptive to start with. The big thing is there’s not a crime here. There’s just a disappearance. There’s nothing criminal about someone disappearing.”

Sgt. Gary Knight of the Oklahoma City Police Department confirmed that both missing persons and homicide detectives were working on the Oklahoma mother’s case.
