Dramatic Video Captured Of The SpaceX Falcon 9 Rocket Crash Landing On Barge [Video]
A SpaceX 9 rocket crashed while attempting to land on a barge last weekend. The dramatic moment was captured on video and then shared by the company’s CEO, Elon Musk, via Twitter.
The crash happened as SpaceX was attempting to recycle the rocket after a cargo load was sent to the International Space Station. The company was attempting to have the SpaceX Falcon 9 land on a barge. However, as you can see in the video, the Falcon 9 smashed into the barge at a 45-degree angle. You can watch the dramatic video below.
Following the crash, Elon Musk took to Twitter to share some of the crash photos and video. Check out the stream of messages noting that they were “close, but no cigar.”

Fortunately, unlike the Virgin Galactic SpaceshipTwo crash, the Falcon 9 was not a manned rocket. Musk reports that only limited damage was sustained by the barge and they will try, try again.
