‘Teen Mom’ Star Katie Yeager: Did Joey Maes ‘Completely Destroy’ Her As A Person?

Teen Mom star Katie Yeager filmed the franchise’s third installment, sharing the screen with three other struggling young mothers. But the footage that the world got to see with Yeager wasn’t as horrible as the events that would follow once MTV was gone. Since that horrible time in her life, Katie has moved on, and last year, she was rumored to be dating someone new. But since Joey Maes is still the biological father of their daughter, Molli, Yeager still has to deal with him.

Usually Katie Yeager doesn’t share things about Joey that are very telling, and it is possible that she is keeping her mouth shut out of respect for her daughter. But this week, Katie claimed that it was tough to be civil with someone she really didn’t want to deal with. And it is possible that Yeager is subtweeting Joey here.

According to a new Wetpaint Entertainment report, Teen Mom star Katie Yeager shared her horrible relationship with Joey on the show, and she was often fighting to stay together for the sake of Molli. But she has since moved on and gained full custody of Molli. Sadly, she still has to deal with Maes.

“Being civil with someone who completely destroyed you as a person is a constant battle,” Katie Yeager revealed on Twitter, without naming Joey, who is rumored to stay out of the social media world.

Of course, Katie and Maes are no longer dating, but they did have a traumatic relationship after Teen Momended. According to the Inquisitr, the stars of Teen Mom revealed that the show isn’t exploitative, and that it helps teens prevent pregnancies. The abuse was not documented on the show.

“They have had physical problems for their whole relationship,” a source revealed, adding, “Katie had just moved back in and they were fighting over everything. Like, the stupid things couples fight about. Joey has really bad anger problems and a really bad temper and he told Katie that he was going to go to anger management and he never kind of went through with it.”

Apparently, things got so bad that he began punching her and hitting her. And this resulted in a broken nose. But Yeager never filed charges because she wanted the best for her daughter.

“It’s always been like a physically abusive relationship,” the source claimed, adding, “It was always with his fists. She has always remained calm. She never really yells at anything, like, she doesn’t even know how to really yell or shout. So they were both in the fight but she has never caused bodily harm to him or laid her hands on him or anything like that. She’s said her share of hurtful things, but…”
