The new year is showing signs of life with this week’s list of new video game releases for the week of January 11, 2015. The biggest release of the week is the the first DLC for Assassin’s Creed Unity , Dead Kings , which is releasing on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

PlayStation again holds the highest amount of releases this week, with the PSP receiving a digital release despite its built in storefront no longer reachable through the PSP. Even Microsoft is getting a couple of new games this week for the Xbox 360, even though they may be Monopoly and Trivial Pursuit Live!

Assassin’s Creed Unity: Dead Kings is the first downloadable content available for the latest entry into the series dedicated only for the current generation of consoles. The Dead Kings DLC is being offered free of charge as a way of apologizing to the gamers who purchased the game and have dealt with the countless bugs and glitches the game has been plagued with since launch. The DLC also comes with a legal catch to it: If you download it, you can not sue Ubisoft for the horrible condition the game launched in.

Within the long and boring terms and conditions that most gamers breeze past before clicking “I Agree,” Game Informer found the following.

You hereby irrevocably and unconditionally RELEASE, WAIVE, AND FOREVER DISCHARGE AND COVENANT NOT TO SUE Ubisoft Entertainment S.A.,……….

There is long paragraph that follows but in layman’s terms, you can’t sue Ubisoft for the deplorable situation in which the game launched or join in on a class action suit.

Atelier Ayesha Plus: The Alchemist of Dusk is another fairly large profile game for the JRPG fans of the Atelier series from developer Gust. This entry is a stand alone entry that originally was published in early 2013 for the PlayStation 3 with the PS Vita and PS TV versions coming out this week . The game’s story centers around a lonely girl name Ayesha Altugle who runs a herbalist workshop. A chance encounter starts her on the normal grand adventure with a gameplay mechanic based on harvesting items, fusing them together and employing them in combat.
