‘Evolve’ Xbox One Beta: Here Is Everything You Need To Know

Evolve Xbox One beta players are getting a bonus. After it was recently announced that Evolve had already gone gold, meaning that the game is complete, an Xbox One exclusive extra is about to turn Microsoft’s console owners into some very happy hunters (and monsters).

The concept behind Evolve is one of the most original ever seen in a shooter. Five players are fighting for their lives, with an unusual twist: One player uses a titanic monster whose goal is to, as the title suggests, evolve. That player has to hunt lesser creatures when they’re not under attack, so they can grow more powerful, be able to take more damage, and become an unstoppable juggernaut.

The other four play a variety of roles based on characters with very unique skills, such as medic, assault, trapper, and support. This is basically a perfect combination of shooters and role-playing games, with up to 12 playable hunters and 4 playable monsters, in a variety of maps.

The upcoming Evolve Xbox One beta will include third-tier hunters Parnell, Abe, Caira, and Cabot, as well as the teleporting Wraith from the moment you start, but only if you pre-order digitally. Those who pre-purchase the physical disc won’t have them until they are unlocked after the game’s release, unlock them through gameplay, or download the $15 Monster Expansion Pack.

PlayStation 4 gamers will not have access to the beta at all, but everybody who pre-orders the game will have access to the Behemoth when the Evolve release date hits on February 10. It is unknown what the Behemoth is, but it will supposedly be bigger than the Goliath.

The Evolve open beta will run from January 15 to January 19. Turtle Rock Studios will announce soon when you can officially buy the game and gain access to the appropriate extras. It is assumed that you can begin pre-ordering the game as soon as the open beta begins, but that detail has not been made clear.

As the Evolve Xbox One beta approaches, are you planning to pre-order the game and gain access to the Xbox One exclusive bonus?
