New Girl Scout cookies will be available for purchase in 2015. According to ABC News , there are three new kinds of cookies being offered, two of which are gluten free, which is appealing to many people who have a gluten intolerance. While the Girl Scouts of America have introduced new cookies in the past, this is the very first that they have added a gluten-free cookie to their line-up.

“Rah-Rah Raisins, an oatmeal cookie, Trios, a gluten-free peanut butter oatmeal cookie, and Toffee-tastics, a gluten-free butter cookie with toffee pieces, are the three new flavors for the 2015 cookie season, which embrace the latest food trends.”
The new Girl Scout cookies will still run you $4 a box (the new Toffee-tastic cookies are $5 a box), but are on a sort of trial basis. The cookies will be available in certain areas while supplies last. Their popularity will determine whether or not they will be back next year. The most popular Girl Scout cookie to date is the Thin Mint. Other popular kinds include Samoas, Peanut Butter Patties, and Trefoils. Everyone has their favorite cookie, and many have loved that same cookie for many years. The addition of the three new cookies may open the door for more people to enjoy, or to find a new favorite.
According to People Magazine , Girl Scout cookies have been sold annually for the past 98 years . You are able to purchase a box from a local troop member from mid-January through April. As previously reported by the Inquisitr , however, you can now purchase your Girl Scout cookies online, making it that much more convenient.
“The new program is dubbed Digital Cookie , and it allows scouts to take orders via email, as well as through their personal websites. The program will teach girls how to market the cookies online and instruct them about finance and online communication. The girls will also learn about the importance of goal setting through the new program.”
