Ingrown Hair Grossness: Man Shaves Beard, Discovers Longest Ingrown Hair In History, Gets 1M+ YouTube Views [Video]

If you’re eating, I hope you didn’t watch the above ingrown hair video. Serious grossness involved. With an intriguing title like “Man shaves his beard off but he got terrified when he found out,” one can’t help but click on the YouTube video and watch as a man uses tweezers to extract a curly and long ingrown hair out of the side of his face that doesn’t seem like it will ever end.

As GQ warned in a post about the popular ingrown hair YouTube video – one that includes other just as gross ingrown hair YouTube videos – wash your face or you’ll suffer the wrath of ingrown hairs in your beard. Of course, it was a Reddit post that popularized the ingrown hair video, one hilariously marked as NSFW – or “not safe for work” — as if it were porn or something other than a gross-out ingrown hair video.

Beneath that Reddit post are plenty of entries from other guys commenting about their own ingrown hairs beneath their beards, and there’s another really gross comment on the YouTube video written by a woman about an ingrown hair – shall we say – in her nether regions. But if you, like this reporter, wondered why a man wouldn’t just shave off his beard if he felt a big lump beneath the sucker in order to inspect his face, the YouTube description of the ingrown hair video lets viewers know that the ingrown hair guy assumed it was a cyst, not an ingrown hair.

“He had this pimple that would ooze every couple months for the last year or so. The dermatologist told him it was a cyst she would have to cut out. Apparently it was just the longest ingrown hair in history.”

Perhaps next in his man-scaping quest, this no-longer-a-lumbersexual who has shaved off his beard should check out the “tightening the tackle” $575 scrotal beauty procedure that uses lasers to get rid of discoloration left by ingrown hairs and tightens the skin – but not on the cheeks – as reported by the Inquisitr.

Either way, the video of the guy pulling out a yearlong growth of an ingrown hair is truly going viral on Tuesday, with everyone from Cosmopolitan UK to Huffington Post UK reporting about the madness – all with warnings about the ingrown hair video’s gross out factor as a precursor.
