WWE Breaking News: Daniel Bryan Announces He’s Entering The Royal Rumble

Earlier today Daniel Bryan sent out a tweet, teasing an appearance on RAW, and also teasing a big announcement. The tweet led a lot of people to believe that Daniel Bryan would be announcing his retirement tonight. Even Jerry “The King” Lawler said on commentary that he thought that Bryan was going to retire.

Well, the good news is, he’s not going to retire.

Daniel Bryan delivered an emotional speech, and during the speech, he convinced everyone in the crowd, and likely everyone watching at home that he was about to announce his retirement. He brought up winning the WWE championship at WrestleMania 31, marrying Brie Bella, the death of his father and his career-threatening neck injury. He even said that he talked to Edge, who was forced into retirement in 2011 after multiple neck injuries, about retiring from WWE.

Bryan asked the crowd “Is my career over?” And the crowd shouted “No!” And Bryan answered his own question by shouting “No!” Then announced his intention to enter the Royal Rumble, which is taking place on January 25.

Bryan’s return to action comes as a bit of surprise, as many thought that WWE would hold off his return until after WrestleMania, to avoid the same situation they were put in last year when the fans wanted Daniel Bryan to be in the main-event of WrestleMania. But, apparently WWE isn’t too concerned about it this year.

Daniel Bryan is back. And he’s entering the Royal Rumble. Now that’s something to get excited about.
