‘Screech’ Arrested: Dustin Diamond Speaks Out On Alleged Stabbing

Dustin Diamond, most known for his role as Screech on Saved By The Bell, is now sharing his side of the story surrounding his recent arrest for his involvement in a bar brawl.

According to an earlier report by the Inquisitr, Diamond was arrested after he allegedly pulled out a switchblade during a bar brawl that occurred in Ozaukee County, Wisconsin. He was reportedly arrested and charged with reckless behavior, possession of a switchblade, and carrying a concealed weapon.

Entertainment Weekly has stated that a new document has been released that gives more of Dustin Diamond’s account of what happened the night of his arrest. In a new report obtained by CNN, the stabbing reportedly took place late Thursday night during an argument in the Grand Avenue Saloon located in Port Washington, Wisconsin.

Dustin Diamond reportedly told police that he and his girlfriend, Amanda Schutz, 27, were inside the bar, when a group of intoxicated people started behaving rudely and in an insulting manner. Diamond stated that it was at that point he believed things could potentially get out of hand, so he decided to leave Schutz so he could close out their tab. When he looked back to Schutz, he said that he saw two men holding her hair and said she was bleeding.

“‘Diamond said he moved toward his girlfriend when a man grabbed him,’ the report said. ‘Diamond said he might have stabbed the man with a pen used to sign a credit card receipt, but later conceded he was armed with the knife,'” CNN reported.

“Diamond stated that he did not intentionally stab the individual in the bar but that chaos broke out and people were grabbing at him and that he swung his arms to break free,” the police report stated.< According to the Inquisitr, the entire situation seemed to have begun as a result of an altercation between multiple women, one of whom was believed to be Amanda Schutz. She was later charged with disorderly conduct and released.

Dustin Diamond, on the other hand, was arrested, and according to CNN, he was being held as of Friday in lieu of $10,000 bond.
