‘Bones’ Season 10 Spoilers: The Early Days Of Brennan’s Pregnancy And Arastoo As A ‘Political Prisoner’

There’s quite a bit to look forward to when Bones season 10 returns with new episodes in 2015. Fans are going to get to see something this season that they didn’t get to when Brennan was pregnant the first time around: the beginning stages of her pregnancy.

When Brennan was pregnant with Christine on Bones, she told Booth that she was pregnant in the season 6 finale, “The Change in the Game,” and when season 7 began, there was a time jump. Not only were the early days of Brennan’s pregnancy and Booth and Brennan’s relationship not shown on-screen, but neither was the couple telling the others.

According to TVLine, executive producer Stephen Nathan has revealed that this time around, Brennan and Booth are going to “at least initially, attempt to keep the pregnancy a secret from their co-workers.” If that actually works has yet to be seen, as Brennan hasn’t even told Booth she’s pregnant yet in Bones season 10; it has only been revealed this month that Emily Deschanel’s pregnancy will be written into the show, after all, as Nathan told TVLine.

“We are so happy for Emily. As before, rather than try to hide this from a sophisticated audience, we are integrating her pregnancy into the show. Booth and Brennan, like most couples today, will continue to work, paly and catch murderers – maybe they’re unique in this respect – as their family grows. As with most new situations that have arisen in 10 years, we feel that this can only enhance the show. Although I’m sure there will be a vocal group on fans eager to attack me, I hope they will be pleasantly surprised by what we have in store.”

Nathan told TV Guide that Arastoo will be returning to Iran “under very dangerous circumstances” when his brother is dying, and that is going to “come back in a very, very major way later on in the season.”

Along those lines, according to TVLine, the EP has also teased that an early Bones episode in 2015 is going to see Arastoo in trouble.

“[Arastoo will be] trapped in Iran as a political prisoner. The only way he can leave is to solve a particularly sensitive murder. And of course he can’t do it without help.”

As the Inquisitr previously reported, you probably don’t need to worry about any more deaths on Bones this season, so even though Arastoo is going to be in a dangerous situation, it doesn’t sound like you need to be worried about him surviving it.

Bones season 10 airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. on Fox. It returns March 26 with new episodes and recently celebrated its 200th episode. Watch highlights from the “200th Episode Cake Cutting Event” below.
