Jeff Simms Tweets About Family After ‘Teen Mom 2’ Star Leah Accuses Corey Of Selling Story About Her Stealing $50,000 From Ali?

Jeff Simms appeared to weigh in on the latest drama between Leah Messer and Corey Simms on Tuesday night.

Following the release of an In Touch Weekly article, which claimed Messer drained Ali Simms’ trust fund of $50,000, the Teen Mom 2 star spoke out on Twitter, seemingly blaming Corey and his wife, Miranda Patterson, for the allegedly fake story.

On December 23, hours after Messer denied having drained Ali’s trust fund as reported by the Inquisitr, Jeff Simms took to Twitter, where he wrote, “Enjoyed dinner and some Christmas festivities this evening with @NanaSimms @mirandabridget and @CoreySimms2. Family is what it’s all about!”

A while later, Patterson re-tweeted Jeff Simms’ message.

According to In Touch Weekly‘s source, a trust fund set up for five-year-old Ali was “spent on shopping and expensive gadgets.”

“The account was totally drained,” the insider said. “The money is supposed to go to college tuition, or in Ali’s case, medical needs. But Leah took all of it.”

The insider claimed Messer reportedly targeted Ali’s account because she believed she’d be less likely to get caught as she could simply claim the money went to medical bills for Ali’s muscular dystrophy.

As for Corey’s thoughts, the source explained, “He’s furious that Ali’s future has been wiped away and he’s seeing what he can do to get the money back.”

Since their divorce, Messer has reportedly been able to access the money without having to notify her ex.

“Leah has made a lot of bad decisions [financially] and is strapped for cash big time,” the source tells the magazine. “She’s selfish now. She only cares about herself.”

In responds to In Touch Weekly‘s report, Messer took to Twitter.

“I can’t believe some of these pathetic individuals that hide behind the name of “a source,” Messer wrote on December 23, also adding, “My girls still have they’re money….It’s just not at the bank your looking at. #crazy.”

Although Messer didn’t name anyone specifically, she seemed to be hinting Corey and Miranda had something to do with the story. Who else would have been looking at Ali’s bank?

Either way, it seems odd that Messer would have moved Ali’s money. Since Corey also has custody of the child, he should be in the loop about the location of her trust fund, as well as what the balance is.

News of Messer’s alleged thievery comes just weeks after she and Corey were in court to address custody issues.

Jeff Simms and his wife spent time with the twins during Corey’s allotted visitation.
