Chris Klein Engaged To Laina Rose Thyfault: Couple ‘Stoked’ To Share Good News
American Pie star Chris Klein is engaged to Laina Rose Thyfault. The two have been together for more than three years after meeting at a friend’s wedding. The two got engaged over the weekend in Venice Beach.
People confirms the news that Chris Klein is engaged to Laina Rose Thyfault, and his rep says they look forward to celebrating the news over the holidays. While Klein has certainly made headlines in the past regarding some personal issues, fans are thrilled to see that he is doing well now.
Many fans remember that Chris previously dated both Katie Holmes and Ginnifer Goodwin. He got engaged to Holmes in December 2003, but they split in March 2005. Shortly after their split, Katie was linked with Tom Cruise. Katie and Tom announced that she was pregnant soon after that.
Klein went on to date Once Upon a Time star Ginnifer Goodwin for about two years as well, but they split in December 2008. Goodwin has since fallen in love with her OUAT co-star Josh Dallas. They welcomed a baby boy and got married last spring.
Klein has had some personal challenges over the years regarding some issues with alcohol. He was arrested for incidents related to drinking and driving in both 2005 and 2010 and he went to Cirque Lodge in 2010. He has reportedly stayed sober since then.
This is a couple who has definitely flown under the radar during the course of their relationship, for the most part. Thyfault is listed on IMDb as a casting associate who worked on Hell’s Kitchen and For the Love of Ray J.
Despite some challenges in his personal life, Klein has worked fairly steadily over the years. He’s had bit parts in many projects, but more recently had an ongoing role for a character named Drew in the FX show Wilfred. Fans would love to see him popping up in other projects more regularly, and he does have a film titled Out of the Burning Blue coming up.
Shortly after the news of the engagement broke, Klein tweeted that he was “Super stoked” to share the couple’s “good vibes” regarding the engagement. According to Us Weekly, neither Klein, 35, or Thyfault, 29, are looking to have a long engagement. Sources indicate that they will likely plan to have a wedding next summer.
