Bethenny Frankel’s ‘RHONY’ Salary Has Her Co-Stars “Furious”
Bethenny Frankel is reportedly getting paid the big bucks for her season seven return to The Real Housewives of New York City — and her salary is reportedly not sitting well with her co-stars.
According to a new report, Frankel’s alleged million dollar salary has her cast mates “furious,” mainly because their own salaries were cut in order for producers to lure her back to the show.
“Ramona is absolutely outraged that Bethenny is making a million dollars, especially after her failed talk show,” an insider reportedly told Radar Online on December 15. “But Bethenny wasn’t going to come back earning less than any of the housewives, and held out to be paid the most.”
“It’s especially frustrating for Bethenny’s co-stars because she isn’t bringing the drama that was expected,” the source continued.
Earlier this month, as the Inquisitr reported, a source spoke out, claiming producers of The Real Housewives of New York City were unhappy with Bethenny Frankel’s season seven performance.
“Bethenny is insisting on featuring her Skinnygirl products at every opportunity,” a source alleged to Radar Online on December 1. “The requests from Bethenny have crew members concerned the upcoming season will be one big promo for all things Bethenny.”
In just one instance, cameras filmed Frankel’s 44th birthday party at Gilded Lily, and “Bethenny made certain the bar was stocked with all of her Skinny Girl alcohol,” the source said. “It just feels tacky and cheap.”
Oddly, according to a second Inquisitr report, Bethenny Frankel was refusing to film “fake” scenes for the show during another event, held in honor of her co-star, Sonja Morgan.
“As far as bringing the drama to spice things up, Bethenny is proving to be a downer in that department too,” Radar‘s source continued. “She is trying to be the mother hen, and providing support to LuAnn de Lesseps as she begins dating after her breakup with Jacques. There is simmering tension with Kristin Taekman, but Bethenny is very hesitant to get into heated fights with her on camera.”
Radar‘s source even claimed Frankel’s return may be short-lived because of her reported failure to bring the drama. “Producers brought Bethenny back to spice things up, and she is acting like some sort of advice guru,” the source explained. “It’s obvious to everyone that Bethenny is only using the show to rehab her public image which took a huge hit after her divorce proceedings from estranged husband, Jason Hoppy began.”
Bethenny Frankel and the cast of The Real Housewives of New York City are expected to return to Bravo in 2015.
