Pro-Landrieu Union Worker Verbally Harasses Black Female Pro-Cassidy Conservative In Vile Way [Video]

The campaign for the last Senate seat in the Deep South was fought tooth and nail between Louisiana lawmakers Senator Mary Landrieu and Congressman Bill Cassidy; it’s to be expected. However, one of the most shameful moments in the runoff occurred when a pro-Landrieu union worker verbally abused a Black female Conservative Cassidy supporter. The whole thing was caught on tape, citing an MRCTV report.

According to the Washington Times, ACORN whistleblower Anita MonCrief, who is also a member of the Black Conservative Fund, came under a verbal attack outside a location where Landrieu and Cassidy were sparring for one last time before the runoff vote. Another campaigner, who stood next to MonCrief, apparently took issue with the fact that the woman was supporting the opponent at the same location.

“According to the conservative organization, Ms. MonCrief was waving a “Blacks against Landrieu” sign in a show of support for Cassidy, the Republican candidate who is leading the three-term Democratic incumbent Landrieu in the polls.”

Although the man denied it, he can be clearly heard in the video saying a misogynist comment on several occasions. The woman exchanged verbiage with the man, and admonished him for his offensive tone. At one point the Landrieu supporter, who towered over the woman, approached her in an intimidating manner, until others in the crowd diffused him and suggested he “settle down.”

Last week, former Senator Landrieu lost her job in Washington after Congressman Cassidy defeated her by a 12-point margin. Political pundits say the loss was a referendum against Obama’s policies, namely Obamacare, according to a previous Inquisitr report.

Louisiana has slowly been becoming a full-fledged red state, and Landrieu’s loss marks the first time since 1876 that the state has two Republican senators in Washington. Reportedly, Mary Landrieu voted with the president 97 percent of the time, and some political operatives claim her own party failed to support her when she voted for the controversial Keystone Pipeline project.

The video of the pro-Landrieu union worker harassing the Cassidy campaign supporter highlights the tension among both parties that has been the hallmark of Louisiana politics for decades. With the state firmly colored red, it’s unknown what impact it will have on key issues Mary Landrieu supported, namely the Affordable Care Act. Check out the video above that has since gone viral.
