Good news for Steffy Forrester, fans of The Bold And The Beautiful! Based on the scoop confirmed by her rep, Jacqueline MacInnes Wood will reprise her role as Steffy for a handful of episodes. Soap Central shares that Wood will return to the studio this week and film scenes for B&B.
Wood’s return emerges as Kim Matula leaves the show as Hope Logan. Matula’s last scene on the show as Hope is Friday, December 12, as Inquisitr reported recently. Her role will be recast, according to B&B head writer and executive producer Bradley P. Bell.
Steffy and Hope have been archenemies in their affections for Liam Spencer. The dynamic has changed a lot now that Hope is now married to Liam’s brother, Wyatt Spencer.
Steffy was an integral part of The Bold and the Beautiful canvas until Wood departed the show in June 2013. Wood was on a few episodes in July and December 2013. All that was known about Wood’s absence was that she was “taking a short break” from the “rigors” of the show, according to a B&B spokesperson. Jacqueline MacInnes Wood debuted on the daytime drama in 2008.
Not long ago, it didn’t appear as though the actress was going to reprise her role of Steffy Forrester. She loves the show, but revealed that she and the powers-that-be didn’t quite see things the same way.
MacInnes wrote the following message on her Facebook page October 27. She addressed to her fans why she wasn’t able to continue in the way she wanted to on the popular CBS soap.
“As much as I love The Bold and The Beautiful and still wanted to be a part of it. Unfortunately we weren’t on the same page contractually/scheduling etc. These things happen in this industry and I hope all my fans can understand that. I am a huge supporter of Brad Bell and the entire cast and crew. Love and kisses to all of my fans. I really do care about you all. [sic]”
While Steffy is coming back to the show, it’s unknown if she’ll eventually be back full-time. She begins filming episodes the second week of December, but it’s only for a few episodes. Those taped scenes will air at the end of January. The likelihood of Wood making more appearances is predicted to be good, however.
