Kail Lowry was reportedly reconsidering signing on for a sixth season of Teen Mom 2 when she found out that her friend, Leah Messer was not going to continue to share her story. Although Kailyn and Leah have always been close, reports suggested that Kail Lowry, along with Jenelle Evans and Chelsea Houska, signed their contracts and planned to go on without their co-star. However, it has just been confirmed that Leah will indeed join her co-stars for a sixth season of the show on MTV.
While there were rumors regarding the return of Teen Mom 2 for quite some time, it was Leah herself who took to Twitter to reveal she would not be coming back for another season of the show. At the time, she did not go into detail, but simply stated that she would not be returning. Kail, nor any of the cast members, addressed the tweets directly, though.
It was Kail Lowry who seemingly tweeted her support by saying, “So much to think about, one door closes, another opens,” according to the Inquisitr.
With the complete cast on board, it will be interesting to see where MTV takes this season of the show. Filming has not yet begun with any of the girls (although it is rumored to start soon), but each girl will have a unique story to tell for the sixth season of the show.
Chelsea now has a new boyfriend and things seem to be going pretty great in her life. In the past, her segments have mostly been about her complaining about Adam Lind, but she has moved on from him for good. While she will still likely complain about him (he has found himself in some more legal trouble), expect a whole new approach to Chelsea’s story.
Although Jenelle has typically been the most troubled, she appears to have cleaned her life up and moved on from her past. She recently gave birth to another son and has been showing what a good mother she can be to both of her kids. That, along with her relationship with Nathan and an effort to regain custody of her first son Jace could potentially be showcased on the sixth season of the show.
As for Kail Lowry, not much has changed for the mother of two. She currently attends college and supports her husband’s military career. Often tweeting about working out, Kail has been focused on her health for months and that may be a point that is focused on in the new season of Teen Mom 2.
It is unclear why Leah changed her mind about appearing on the show (especially since reports suggest that she felt the show made her look bad), but The Ashley confirms that the mother of three signed the paperwork with MTV last week. The site speculates that Leah may need the money, but that cannot be confirmed. Aside from the drama going on in her life, Leah recently opened her own business in West Virginia and that, along with the ongoing drama with her husband and ex-husband will likely be shown on Teen Mom 2 season six.
As of now, Kail Lowry, Jenelle Evans, and Chelsea Houska have not spoken out about Leah’s return to the show. They will likely be happy, though, that the cast will be complete for season six!
