It’s a sad day for Dexter fans.
After announcing their split nearly a year ago, Michael C. Hall and Jennifer Carpenter, co-stars on the hit Showtime drama series, have officially finalized their divorce.
AceShowbiz reports that the couple, who played on-screen siblings in Dexter , had their dissolution of marriage completed by Superior Court Judge John Sandoz in Los Angeles on Friday, December 2.
Court filings state the details of the division of property will remain confidential.
Despite the divorce, Carpenter – who initially married Hall in December of 2008 – has said she and Michael remain close, and that their working environment on the Showtime drama remains great despite their personal history.
Additionally, Zap2it points out that show, currently in its sixth season, was just renewed for two more seasons, so barring serial killer Dexter killing Debra off, the pair will be working together for awhile longer.
