“I have different priorities now.” Ain’t that the truth! The once hard-partying Nicole Polizzi, aka Snooki, got married this past Saturday in New Jersey. The Jersey Shore star known for her love of leopard print and particularly high poufs told Us Weekly how her priorities have changed and how “I don’t care what anybody else thinks.” The mother of two tied the knot with longtime boyfriend, Jionni LaValle, proving that she does things her own way.
The two lovebirds met back in 2010 while Polizzi was in the midst of her fame as the one and only Snooki. By 2011, Snooki commented to Good Morning America that while she was not ready for marriage she was, “so down to making guido babies with him.” And she was certainly telling the truth. Snooki and LaValle have two children together, Lorenzo who is two-years-old and baby Giovanna Marie who is only three months old.
The two children preceded Snooki down the aisle with little Lorenzo holding a sign that said, “Daddy, Here comes Mommy,” according to E! News. The reality show star said that she was going for a “Great Gatsby” theme by employing black and gold as reported by the Washington Post. The ceremony was held at St. Rose of Lima Roman Catholic Church in East Hanover, New Jersey, and the reception was at the nearby Venetian in Garfield. Snooki looked more regal than her Jersey Shore days, wearing a classic gown for the ceremony and then a more “fun and Gatsby-themed” dress for her reception.
You might recognize Snooki’s bridesmaids. Some of her co-stars on the famed reality show on MTV were present. Jenni “JWoww” Farley was Snooki’s maid of honor and Sammi Giancola and Deena Cortese were both bridesmaids, all dressed in black gowns with bows. Also, Paul “DJ Pauly D” Delvecchio attended, although he was just a guest and not the couples DJ.

After seeing some of her antics on the Jersey Shore, many would think that Snooki would go all bridezilla, but that’s not what she told Us Magazine. “It’s not that hard to plan a wedding,” she said, “For me it’s just that I don’t let myself get stressed out. I just enjoy the moment and I try to be positive about everything.” The couple got engaged back in March 2012 before tying the knot this past Saturday. Well wishes have been posted all over the Internet for Snooki and her husband including tweets from Glamour Magazine and castmate Deena Cortese.
The star took time to share many wedding pictures over the weekend and included some of her thoughts on now being Mrs. LaValle.
