‘Why Co-Sleeping Is No-Sleeping’ Depicts The Great Lengths One Baby WIll Go Through To Wake Her Mama [Video]

Esther Anderson’s co-sleeping video has gone viral, garnering over one and a half million views since it was published on YouTube on Tuesday. It shows Esther’s “rambunctious baby Ellia” trying with great diligence to rouse her mother who is pretending to be asleep. Anderson, blogger for Story of This Life, feigned sleep so that all the world could see Ellia’s precious morning antics.

“Every morning my baby sleeps in my bed with me for a couple hours after she wakes up to eat. And every morning I ask myself why I didn’t just put her back in her crib….so this morning I grabbed my cellphone and recorded what my baby alarm clock looks like. I think I’m not alone in this…”

The video was so true-to-life that even Ashton Kutcher shared an article about the video, as Esther shared on a blog post with delight.

“Hush little baby,” Kutcher wrote on Facebook while sharing an article featuring the YouTube video. After Kutcher shared it, an additional nine thousand Facebook users followed suit. Kutcher’s post was liked by over 35,000 users as of Sunday afternoon.

The downside-of-co-sleeping video isn’t Anderson’s first viral video though. In November, Esther and her husband Thad put together a short film that showed some rather stealthy attempts to escape a sleeping baby without waking the infant. That video was viewed on YouTube almost half a million times.

Parents all over the world nodded their heads at Anderson’s adorable co-sleeping video. Anderson’s baby actually sleeps in a crib for most of the night, she explained. Every morning though, her daughter wakes up to eat. The mom and daughter duo snuggle in bed to get a little extra sleep after the morning feeding. Anderson says that co-sleeping is actually no-sleeping after the “baby alarm clock” decides it’s time for mama to wake up and proved her point with this adorable viral video.
