Teresa Giudice Won’t Spend Christmas With Joe, ‘Focused On Her Kids’ Before Prison Sentence Begins

Teresa Giudice will celebrate Christmas shortly before she heads to jail, but her brother, Joe Gorga, won’t be part of the celebration. The Real Housewives of New Jersey star reportedly wants to keep the focus on her kids this year, and will spend the holidays with her husband, Joe Giudici, their daughters, and Teresa’s parents.

Reality Tea reports that Joe Gorga and his wife, Melissa Gorga, weren’t part of the Giudice family festivities on Thanksgiving, and won’t be around for Christmas, either.

On the recently aired Real Housewives of New Jersey reunion, Joe Gorga appeared to be very concerned about Teresa, but Reality Tea‘s source states that her brother isn’t all that supportive.

“Despite what you saw on RHONJ, Joey [Gorga] has not been there for his sister at all… clearly he is concerned as anyone would be, but they don’t have that bond like they used to have. Teresa doesn’t want or expect anything from her brother or Melissa.”

Teresa will reportedly host Christmas Eve in her New Jersey home. On Christmas Day, she will celebrate with her family (minus her brother and his wife) at the home of one her husband’s sisters.

“Teresa will host Christmas Eve like she always does and will spend Christmas Day at her other sister-in-laws… She doesn’t plan to spend Christmas at all with her brother.”

The RHONJ star is reportedly trying to keep things drama free before she heads to jail — likely the reason that she doesn’t want Joe and Melissa around during the holidays. E! Online reports that Teresa will be “living a different reality this holiday season,” and she is concerned about how the “lives of others will be altered” due to her legal troubles.

“She feels terrible for the people whose jobs have been affected as a result of her brands suffering. Her heart goes out to all of them. She doesn’t want sympathy for herself, she wants sympathy to everyone else who has been affected by this.”

Teresa Giudice is scheduled to report to federal prison camp in Danbury, Connecticut, on January 5, 2015. Judge Esther Salas sentenced the RHONJ star to 15 months in prison, a sentence she will serve before her husband, Joe, heads to jail for 3.5 years.

The prison is only about 80 miles away from the Guidice’s home in Towaco, New Jersey — close enough that Teresa’s family will be able to visit while she is locked up. Whether her brother, Joe Gorga, will visit his sister in prison is still unknown.
