Justin Timberlake, Triple Threat Talent, Becomes AfterMaster Co-owner
It is no secret that Justin Timberlake is a versatile and multi-talented, not to mention driven, celeb. Whether it’s by way of using those smooth vocals or intricate dance moves,perhaps his spot-on portrayal of Sean Parker (Okay, let”s not forget about his always-hilarious sketches on SNL) the man does always impress. This 33-year-old entertainment icon has no intention of slowing down. Timberlake has begun a new and ambitious venture. He has become the co-owner of the audio-technology company AfterMaster which, without a doubt, earns him the respect as a notable businessman to pair with his entertainment- superstar status.
Timberlake, however, is no newcomer to the business world. As Entrepreneur notes, Timberlake has likewise been dabbling in acquisition and merging with a variety of businesses for some time now such as “becoming the owner or co-owner of a ‘well-remembered’ social network (MySpace, so that one clearly didn’t pan out), a tequila brand (which is doing well), a barbeque restaurant chain, golf course, professional basketball team and fashion line.”
Partly acquiring AfterMaster, an audio technology company that integrates into audio through semiconductor DSP chips and indubitably makes audio on any device clearer, is an extraordinary and fitting step for Timberlake seeing as he has been described by AfterMaster’s CEO, Larry Ryckman, as being a knowledgeable “audiophile.” In short, he knows quality audio. Ryckman also added that he believes that AfterMaster is the “biggest breakthrough in audio” noting that by way of this technology they can make any audio “substantially louder, clearer and fuller.”Ryckman indicates that licensing for the technology is set for December 1st and that the product chips will launch in early 2015.
After coming off an overwhelmingly successful year due to completing the tour of his bestselling album The 20/20 Experience, Justin appears to be set on achieving greatness on yet another avenue and he seems to be enthused by the opportunity in this quote from Billboard, stating “I’m thrilled to be a part of this groundbreaking company, The first time I heard audio, post AfterMaster, I knew that I had to be a part of this company and that we had something revolutionary on our hands.”
Timberlake has undoubtedly come a long way since his NSYNC days and with the recent announcement that he and wife, Jessica Biel, are expecting their first child along with this recent news that he will be sharing ownership of AfterMaster, one could conclude that Justin will have a bit of a full plate. Something tells me, however, that this is just the way he likes it.
