Kathryn Lockhart: Who Is The Woman Who Just Had A Baby With Katy Perry’s Boyfriend?

Kathryn Lockhart may have just made Katy Perry a step-mom — and totally complicated things for the “Dark Horse” singer and her new boyfriend.

Lockhart, the event planner from Los Angeles, just had a second child with Diplo, her ex boyfriend and Katy Perry’s current man. The baby boy, named Lazer Lee Louis Pentz, was born this weekend, and Katy’s boyfriend has already been active with the newborn, helping Lockhart buy baby supplies.

Diplo, who himself is a famous DJ in L.A., said he and Kathryn Lockhart “didn’t plan for” the pregnancy, but he “couldn’t ask for a better person to share a life with.”

Kathryn Lockhart herself is a few steps away from the Hollywood spotlight. She runs Electric Babyland, an event-planning company with a focus on children’s parties. In the description for the site, Lockhart explains that having her first child with Diplo actually inspired her work.

“My name is Kathryn Lockhart, and I dreamt about being a mother my whole life. I’ve always had a childlike imagination. Once I had my son Lockett, I was able to put more of my ideas to life, with him as my guinea pig.”

“I found a love for planning all his parties and found that I was very good at it! Organizing, planning, and the whole creative process of planning a child’s party or event is not work to me, it’s fun! Every year, I’ve received many compliments on the things I would do to make his parties special.”

The birth of baby Lazer could be a bit of a scandal for Katy Perry and her boyfriend. The New York Post’s Page Six reported earlier this year that Katy and Diplo started hooking up sometime around April of this year — which would happen to be right around the time that Kathryn Lockhart got pregnant.

“Katy and Diplo hooked up at Coachella. They were together behind the main stage, where she had a tour bus or trailer, and a group of her friends were hanging out,” a source told the outlet. “It was very obvious that Katy and Diplo were together. They seemed inseparable and at one point they were seen getting onto her bus together.”

Things could continue to be complicated for Katy Perry and her boyfriend. Diplo reportedly plans to be active in the baby’s life, so Katy could be spending some time with Kathryn Lockhart in the future.
