Katy Perry’s boyfriend Diplo might be changing his Facebook relationship status to “It’s Complicated.”
The Los Angeles-based DJ and music producer just welcomed his second baby with his ex Kathryn Lockhart, a boy named Lazer Lee Louis Pentz. Diplo, whose real name is Thomas Wesley Pentz, already has a 4-year-old boy with Lockhart and has recently been seen spending time with Lockhart as they prepared for the birth of the boy.
Sources say Diplo and Perry have a complicated, on-again off-again relationship, and it’s not clear whether they were on or off when Lockhart got pregnant.
Either way, this is far from the only controversy for Katy Perry’s boyfriend. Diplo recently sparked a Twitter feud with singer Taylor Swift when he noted that “someone should make a kickstarter to get taylor swift a booty.”
Swift’s friend and fellow singer Lorde joined the feud, answering back, “@diplo should we do something about your tiny penis while we’re at it?”
Katy Perry’s boyfriend then responded , calling Lorde a “high school student” and tweeting, “Disappointed that swift boat veterans didn’t get my tiny d**k a fundly going (enlarge my bae).”
Lorde later admitted that she was only joking and that she likes Diplo.
The bad blood between Taylor Swift and Katy Perry’s boyfriend may run deeper , however. The feud reportedly started when Swift revealed in a Rolling Stone interview that her song, “Bad Blood,” was about a fellow singer who tried to sink her career — who insiders say is Katy Perry.
“For years, I was never sure if we were friends or not,” she said. “She would come up to me at awards shows and say something and walk away, and I would think, ‘Are we friends, or did she just give me the harshest insult of my life?’”
Swift added, “She basically tried to sabotage an entire arena tour. She tried to hire a bunch of people out from under me. And I’m surprisingly non-confrontational — you would not believe how much I hate conflict. So now I have to avoid her. It’s awkward, and I don’t like it.”
But with a new baby in the mix, Katy Perry’s boyfriend might not have time for Twitter feuds anymore.
