Caroline Manzo may be rejoining her Real Housewives of New Jersey co-stars for the show’s upcoming seventh season. Although Bravo has yet to comment on the show’s future, rumor has it producers are currently constructing the cast, and they may want Manzo on board.
“Bravo has always liked Caroline,” a source told Radar Online on November 14. “They realize with Teresa gone they are going to have to do something to keep viewers intrigued, interested, and tuned in.”
Although Teresa Giudice’s exit from the show hasn’t exactly been confirmed, her 15-month prison term, which begins on January 5, will keep her from filming during that time. That said, there have been reports , via Radar Online , of Bravo pushing up filming on season seven in order to capture Giudice’s last moments for the show.
“Bravo wants to ensure the ratings for next season are strong,” the source continued. “Caroline always brought Italian-Mom realness to the show, which viewers connected with. She also has a big fan base.”
After Caroline Manzo and Jacqueline Laurita left The Real Housewives of New Jersey season five, ratings on the series dropped. In turn, midway through the season, producers opted to bring Laurita back , which, as the Inquisitr reported, she recently addressed. “It’s just very stressful,” Laurita told People Magazine of her return . “So I agreed to do it part-time. It’s been positive being away from the craziness of the show.”
“Caroline always likes to keep people thinking about what her next move will be,” Radar’s source added. “If the offer from Bravo is right, Caroline will definitely consider it.”
While Caroline Manzo may or may not be returning to The Real Housewives of New Jersey , her spinoff series, Manzo’d With Children , appears to be a hit with Bravo. The show, which premiered this summer, brought in impressive numbers for the network, and according to Radar, executives are planning on airing the show for at least one more season.
“Manzo’d exceeded Bravo’s expectations ratings-wise and they are definitely interested in another season,” the source confirmed.
As the Inquisitr reported earlier this week, Andy Cohen recently spoke out about the seventh season of The Real Housewives of New Jersey , telling fans on Tuesday, “We have not made any plans relating to the future of the Jersey Housewives. The final reunion is airing tonight, and we’ll go back and meet and talk and re-evaluate soon.” Cohen didn’t address the possibility of Caroline Manzo returning.
