Selena Gomez Expresses Relief Over Dropped Justin Bieber Paternity Suit

Selena Gomez has opened up to Ellen DeGeneres over the paternity suit against her boyfriend Justin Bieber, which was dropped earlier this week.

And when I say “opened up,” I do mean “stuttered a few mumbling words.” It began with DeGeneres SUBTLY HINTING:

“What a crazy last two weeks it’s been in the news.”

… then led to the 19-year-old singer and actress admitting:

“To say the least. I have been [alright.] It’s good to just kind of…be good. It’s not easy.”

Gomez’s relief is understandable. The case was filed earlier this month by one Mariah Yeater, who was adamant Bieber had fathered her 3-month-old baby. Yeater’s legal team have now dropped requests for Bieber to undergo a paternity test, and evidence is stacking up that Yeater fabricated the whole thing. Oops.

Bieber himself claims he has never met Yeater, while a spokesman for the Canadian pop midget stated:

“As we’ve said from the beginning, it’s sad that someone would fabricate such a malicious, defamatory, and demonstrably false claim. We’ll continue to consider all of our options to protect Justin.”
