These London Football Fans Were True Winners Of Dallas Cowboys-Jacksonville Jaguars
The London football fans pictured above certainly won the internet on Sunday when a picture was snapped of them wearing the, shall we say, creative Dallas Cowboys fan gear?
We don’t have any information on whom these chaps are, as it was just a screen grab from the NFL on Fox broadcast for Sunday’s London-based contest between Dallas and the Jacksonville Jaguars, but they certainly were the true winners of Sunday’s contest, which will otherwise be forgotten.
The NFL, as many of you know, has been trying to field a team in England for years now, and while the costumes represented by these London football fans are a bit literal for what the Dallas Cowboys team name actually means, they prove that the league may be on to something.
After all, NFL football fans here in the states aren’t exactly known for their conservative dress. It isn’t unusual to see a man wearing no shirt on a zero-degree day or for a group of friends to paint themselves in team colors like a league-licensed version of the Blue Man Group. You see men and women dressing like Vikings or wearing blocks of styrofoam cheese on their heads, so why not this?
As for the game itself, it was pretty much a Cowboys rout of the Jaguars as Jerry Jones’ Texas-based franchise led for pretty much the entire game and finished with a 31-17 win.
Also, returning from a back injury, quarterback Tony Romo looked good behind center. He threw three touchdown passes and completed 20 of 27 passes for 246 yards.
Of course, the Jags are 1-9, so he picked a good week to return.
The game, played at Wembley Stadium, was the last of three regular season contests in London for the 2014-15 season.
