Jennifer Aniston Wedding Rumors: 8-Carat Rock On Display At Governors Awards Sparks Marriage Talk

Jennifer Aniston must have known that showing up at the Governors Awards in Hollywood Saturday sporting a cleavage-baring black dress and, more importantly, a blinding, eight-carat diamond ring — and snuggling in public with longtime fiancé Justin Theroux — would ignite yet another round of wedding rumors.

But then again, Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux never have to do much to set off a new round of rumors about their wedding. As the celebrity watching public clamors for Jilted Jen, who famously lost first husband Brad Pitt to Angelina Jolie in 2005, to soothe her perceived heartache by getting hitched all over again, a new story about her impending marriage to HBO’s Leftovers star Theroux emerges in the tabloids and online every few days.

“There are bound to be rumors about their engagement, when they spend so much time apart,” said one “source” quoted by a British magazine. “Justin’s been caught out referring to Jen as his ‘girlfriend’ or ‘partner’ rather than his fiancée, which has led some in their circles to wonder whether a wedding will ever materialize.”

The supposed source noted that Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux have said very little about when, or even if, they plan to get married — even to close friends and family.

“They both insist that they are committed to getting married, but it’s beginning to sound increasingly hollow,” the anonymous source said.

And the information vacuum has been filled with a new round of Jennifer Aniston wedding rumors over the past week, with the primary culprit this time being the supermarket checkout stand magazine Us Weekly.

According to US, Aniston, 45, and Theroux, 43, are planning a “surprise” wedding. In fact, the pair may tie the knot this winter. But they will likely run away together to a remote location, eloping to escape the spotlight that can be blinding when it shines on celebrity nuptials.

Britain’s Daily Mail newspaper added that the locale of the Aniston-Theroux wedding will likely be tropical. And why not, considering that the wedding supposedly will take place in the middle of winter.

The Hollywood Life celebrity online site added a little intrigue to that version of the rumor, claiming that an exclusive source spotted Jennifer Aniston sometime this past summer deep in excited conversation with her former Friends co-stars Lisa Kudrow and Courtney Cox, revealing her ideas for the wedding getaway — complete with sketches of exotic locales.

Maybe all of those stories are true. Maybe not. But there’s one good bet — next week will bring a whole new fresh crop of Jennifer Aniston wedding rumors.
