‘Vampire Diaries’ Spoilers: Damon’s ‘Pissed’ at Alaric, Enzo Has Leverage Over Matt

Damon isn’t going to be receiving the warm welcome home he’s hoping to from Elena on The Vampire Diaries, thanks to the fact that his best friend compelled her to forget him, and Elena chose to not have Alaric give her back her memories when she found out what she did.

As Ian Somerhalder told TV Guide, he is not going to be happy about that.

“He’ll be pretty pissed at [Alaric] … and can’t imagine for the line of him why his best friend would do this.”

That means it’s going to be up to Damon to figure out a way to convince Elena to get her memories back, and as Somerhalder told TV Guide, he’s going to do whatever he can and might even learn some things about himself in the process on The Vampire Diaries.

“At the end of the day, it is for love and he’s going to try everything he can to get her back and win her back. And I think along that journey, he’s going to realize not only has he done bad things, [but] he’s done some extraordinary things [and] he’s a fiercely loyal boyfriend and brother.”

At least Damon knows that one reunion will go how he wants it to, as the end of last week’s Vampire Diaries episode showed. As the Inquisitr previously reported, Stefan is going to be working to get his life back on track now that his brother is home.

Paul Wesley told TV Guide, “He’s going through his dark phase, but he comes around.” Stefan and Damon are “going to hug it out.”

Damon is going to have a lot on his plate now that he’s back – and he’s going to find himself missing Bonnie, much to his surprise. As you can see below in one of the sneak peeks from this week’s Vampire Diaries, “The More You Ignore Me, The Closer I Get,” he takes a moment in the girls’ dorm room to leave her a voicemail and take offense at her short greeting.

“The one time I’m actively seeking the sound of your voice, that’s all I get?” He thanks her for doing what she did so he can see Elena, but besides that, he’s at a loss for words. “I might miss you a little bit,” he admits.

TVLine has also posted a second Vampire Diaries sneak peek, this one showing Matt visiting Enzo in the cell Tripp has him in, and while Matt is enjoying the position that the vampire is in, all it would take is one sentence from him to ruin everything. “What do you think would happen if I were to tell your boss about known vampires and their groupies?” Oh, and Enzo is still angry about Stefan lying about looking for Damon. Essentially, Enzo leaves Matt with no choice but to rally the troops together to rescue him from Tripp’s clutches. Watch the clip below.

The Vampire Diaries Season 6 airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. on the CW.
