Kelly Osbourne Recovering From Head Injury

Kelly Osbourne was recovering at a Miami hospital over the weekend for a head injury caused by a dance move gone wrong, E! Online reported.

“Long story short I cracked my head open then kept passing out I have the all clear my mum came 2 get me 4 full story watch the talk tomorrow,” Osbourne, 26, Tweeted on Sunday.

Kelly’s “mum,” Sharon Osbourne, flew in from New York to care for her daughter and talked about the incident on her daytime talk show The Talk on Monday.

“She was dancing with somebody who said ‘Teach me how to ballroom dance,’ and so she did and the guy takes down her to dip, and as her dips her down, she hits her head on the amplifier by the DJ,” Sharon Osbourne, 59, explained on her show. “So it split her head open.”

Mrs. Osbourne continued, saying that following the incident, Kelly returned to her hotel, but after feinting multiple times, was rushed to the hospital where she received stitches and was diagnosed with a concussion.

Kelly is now back in Los Angeles recovering, thanks largely in part to the tremendous care provided by the staff at Miami’s Mercy Hospital, said Sharon.

Kelly later tweeted, echoing her mother’s sentiments:

“I just want to 2 thank all the incredible doctors and nurses @ Mercy hospital in Miami 4 taking such good care of me. U guys really are amazing!”
