TLC’s Anna Cardwell Feels Betrayed By Her Mother As More Dark Details Of The Molestation Case Emerge

Here Comes Honey Boo Boo star Anna “Chickadee” Cardwell has not only come forward and claimed that her mother’s alleged boyfriend, Mark McDaniel, molested her at the age of nine, she is also coming forward and saying that she feels betrayed by Mama June’s actions.

In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, Anna Cardwell, now 20-years-old and married with a child of her own, claims that she doesn’t believe Mama June’s denials of rekindling her romance with convicted child molester, Mark McDaniel.

In early reports, Anna seemed unsure of the fact that her mother was seeing the man who molested her as a child, and even stated that she felt like her mother’s denials were true, but now that more and more evidence of the relationship between her mother and McDaniel has begun surfacing, she says she is hurt. In a previous report by the Inquisitr, Anna reportedly stated that she is not only hurt, but that she believes that her relationship with her mother may well be over.

While talking with Entertainment Tonight, Anna went into further detail saying that she feels betrayed by the fact that Mama June is choosing to have McDaniel in her life and around her children again.

“She has brung the past back and now she can’t get it away. I’m mad. I’m upset. I feel betrayed. I feel very hurt. That’s the main thing that I am — I feel very hurt that Mama let him come around.”

Anna may be out of the house, but that doesn’t mean that she isn’t worried for her other siblings, Jessica “Chubbs” Shannon, 18; Lauryn “Pumpkin” Shannon, 14; and Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson, 9. Even though her mother seems happy in her alleged relationship with McDaniel, Anna still cannot wrap her mind around why her mother would want him around anymore of her children.

“It’s like she’s happy,” she says about Mama June’s state of mind. “She’s smiling and giggling when he’s around. You know, he’s a child molester, Mama. He did this to me. Why would you let him come around the girls knowing what he did? And reportedly done it to another girl? And Mama was like, ‘Oh, he never done it to another girl. Mama’s not supposed to be around him!” Anna added. “She just knows! And she let him get around Lana and Pumpkin!”

According to Hollywood Life, more details about Anna Cardwell’s molestation are beginning to come to light. The report stated that Lauryn Shannon, three at the time, was forced to watch as her sister was molested by Mark McDaniel.

“Anna…stated that her sister, Lauryn, is in the bed with them when this is going on,” Officer Bauch wrote in the incident report.
