Is Kate Middleton In Danger? ‘Royal Protection Squad’ Camped Out In Bucklebury

Kate Middleton has been staying in Bucklebury at her mum and dad’s house for the past couple of weeks because she has not been feeling 100 percent with her second pregnancy. While she is reportedly feeling much better and her pregnancy sickness has subsided for the most part, the Duchess of Cambridge is still finding comfort with her parents, who have been instrumental in helping care for Prince George so that she can rest.

According to a report by The Telegraph, Kate hasn’t escaped her royal life completely, however, even if she has been out of the public eye. Apparently there is a “royal protection squad” stationed around her parent’s home, and it doesn’t sound like your “every day security” type of thing either.

Kate Middleton might not be in any immediate danger, but these officers are reportedly on the lookout for terrorists. According to the report, a family on their way to Bucklebury Farm Park when they got a flat tire. After pulling over, several officers approached the vehicle — carrying guns — evidently mistaking the man and his wife for terrorists.

“Mr. DeMarco said moments after he stopped his BMW at the side of a country road on Thursday, they were surrounded by officers. However he said they soon put their guns away when they realized the family was not a threat — and then tried to help them repair their [tire].”

According to Parent Dish, a spokesman for the Metropolitan Police declined to comment on the matter. While it does seem logical for Duchess Kate to have protection in some form anywhere that she goes, surrounding a family with guns drawn does seem a bit excessive. At the same time, one can never be too sure in this day and age, and it’s most important to keep Kate and her family safe.

Kate Middleton has been back on her game over the past few days, attending three events last week — and looking great doing so. According to the Inquisitr, Kate has previously been applauded for her pregnancy style and, so far, she’s dressing her changing body well this time around too. Of course, she is barely showing (it is believed that she’s only about 14 weeks along), but she will be showing soon enough.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will welcome their second child in April, just in time for their fourth wedding anniversary.
