‘Teen Mom 2’ Season Six Filming Delayed

Teen Mom 2 Season 6 has reportedly been delayed. Although MTV has yet to confirm or deny the series will continue on for a sixth season, a new report claims producers plan to bring the show back. However, their efforts haven’t come without incident.

“Currently, the ‘Teen Mom 2? girls and their beaus are all signed up for Season 6 … everyone except Leah and Jeremy, that is,” The Ashleys Reality Roundup reported on October 22.

As The Inquisitr reported last week, Leah and Jeremy Calvert are currently involved in a cheating scandal involving Leah’s ex-boyfriend, Robbie Kidd, a man she also cheated on ex-husband Corey Simms with. Leah denied the affair on Twitter and Robbie spoke out as well but, according to reports, Jeremy is convinced something happened and planning to divorce Leah after just two years of marriage.

In addition to her marriage troubles, Leah was recently accused of having a serious drug problem. According to an October 22 report by The Inquisitr, Leah’s alleged drug dealer spoke to In Touch Weekly on Wednesday, claiming the Teen Mom 2 star has bought up to 40 pills at once.

“MTV and the show’s producers are very aware of all of the news that’s been circulating about Leah’s marriage and drug problems; however at this time there is no plan in place to get her into any type of rehab facility or treatment,” The Ashleys reported.

On Teen Mom 2 Season 5B, Leah was seen feeling “drugged out” and slurring her words but, while she claimed her behavior was a bad reaction to her anxiety medication, many believed she was on opiates, not anxiety pills.

“Leah is the reason that filming has not begun on Season 6,” a source revealed to The Ashleys. “Despite the fact that this Leah/Jeremy/Robbie love triangle would be equal to ratings gold, they can’t capture it all on film because Leah has yet to return her contract.”

Because of Leah’s absence, none of the cast has filmed for the show’s sixth season. A source also revealed to The Ashleys that Jeremy wasn’t planning on returning to the show, which wouldn’t be too surprising considering he has a great, financially rewarding career as a pipe layer.

On September 17, following reports claiming Teen Mom 2‘s fifth season would be its last, RadarOnline reported the show would return for a sixth season. “Producers are getting ready for Season 6,” an insider told Radar at the time. “They are calling the girls to make sure everyone is on board.”
