Entertainment Weekly just released the cover designs for the October 31st issue. The four collector’s edition covers will feature characters from Disney’s new movie Into The Woods set to open on Christmas day. One cover includes Johnny Depp as the Big Bad Wolf, the first look at Depp in full costume.
In the image we see Johnny Depp alongside Lilla Crawford who plays Little Red Riding Hood. Though the costume has giant furry paws, a long tail, a hat with pointed wolf ears and a fur-lined jacket, it appears the character will be somewhat human in appearance. Check out the complete cover below.
Prior to the Entertainment Weekly cover, the only image of Johnny Depp as Big Bad Wolf came from the official movie trailer. In the trailer we see Depp’s giant paw as it wraps around a tree, his hat also visible. Check out the official Disney Into The Woods trailer below.
The Entertainment Weekly cover will come in a set of four different images. Image one is the photo of Depp and Crawford. Cover two features Meryl Streep as The Witch, Mackenzie Mauzy as Rapunzel. Three includes Anna Kendrick as Cinderella and Chris Pine as The Prince with the fourth cover showing Emily Blunt as The Baker’s Wife and James Corden as The Baker. You can see all four covers at Entertainment Weekly.
What do you think of Johnny Depp as the Big Bad Wolf? Is the costume what you had imagined or did you expect a more wolf-like appearance?
