Kate Gosselin Holding Yard Sale: Mom Of Eight Criticized For Making Cash To Support Family

Kate Gosselin and her brood will be having a yard sale on October 25 at St. Johns United Church of Christ. Kate and her kids have gone through their old clothes and toys to come up with piles of things to sell. The extra money is used by Kate to buy groceries, new clothes, and things for the family’s home. According to InTouch Weekly, a radio station in Pennsylvania made the announcement today, just days after it was revealed that Kate’s ex, Jon Gosselin, was evicted from his home.

Many believe that Kate should simply donate her used items to charity, and she has been slammed on more than one occasion for making money off of her kids’ old things. In fact, as previously reported by The Inquisitr, author Robert Hoffman thought it was disgusting that Kate put items up for sale at a consignment shop. And people slammed her for that too. For the record, Kate is donating a portion of the yard sale’s proceeds to the Local Animal Rescue League.

Kate Gosselin knows that raising children is expensive, but since she has been afforded some wonderful opportunities, she does whatever she needs to do to keep her kids living a happy, healthy life. You may not agree with how she lives her life, but that’s really of no concern to Kate.

“Hear me very clearly, if there was another way to singly support eight children, you would not know this name and I would be on an island, and so would they. You would never hear from us again. Having said that, [TV] is a pretty fantastic way to feed my children, keep them in an amazing house, at an amazing school and make memories together,” Kate said at the beginning of the summer.

And apparently there is more Kate Gosselin drama going on. The mom of eight recently took her kids to Skyzone and tried to help when someone got hurt. While that’s all well and good, she was later accused of wanting to air the footage on an upcoming episode of Kate Plus 8. It’s unknown how much of this is true, but Twitter was alive with comments per usual.
