Chris Rock’s ‘Top Five’ Movie Could Be A Huge Hit — Here’s The Trailer!

Chris Rock might have a major box-office hit on his hands with his new movie, Top Five.

During the International Film Festival in Toronto last month, this film entered a bidding war with several major studios. Paramount Pictures emerged with the victory bid of $12.5 million, according to Deadline.

The first official trailer for Top Five was released online by Paramount Pictures through an official YouTube channel named after the movie.

Top Five tells the story of a former New York stand-up comedian who became the lead actor of a successful yet corny movie franchise. The movie focuses on Chris Rock’s character, Andre Kelly, running into a journalist (played by Rosario Dawson) for an unexpected encounter that forces him to think about his life, his career, and the moment when he “stopped being funny.”

Written and directed by Chris Rock, who also stars in the movie, Top Five features an extensive list of cameo appearances from actors and comedians — including Kevin Hart, JB Smoove, Cedric the Entertainer, Whoopi Goldberg, Jerry Seinfeld, and Romany Malco.

Chris Rock was even able to get a little help from some of his Saturday Night Live friends — including Adam Sandler, Tracy Morgan, Michael Che, Leslie Jones, and Jay Pharoah.

Out of the three movies that Chris Rock has directed, including this film, Vanity Fair stated that Top Five is Chris Rock’s Annie Hall.

Top Five is currently scheduled for release in theaters on December 5. Are you excited about seeing Chris Rock’s Top Five?
